Our Services - Comprehensive Financial Planning

Our Financial Planning Process (4 mins)

Financial planning is a discipline to help you reach your goals by evaluating your various objectives and   outlining specific strategies tailored to available resources, reasonable return expectations and tax considerations. Our Wealth Management System, with it’s daily downloads of account positions and prices, serves as a framework for organizing all the components of your financial picture. With a Wealth Management System in place, we’ll be able to easily answer questions and develop modular, integrated, financial plans, on demand and online. This means you’ll better understand  your goals with the most current data and whether you’re on track to reach them.

Modular Components of a Financial Plan

Our financial plans are highly customized and tailored to the needs of each client, so how complicated the process will be, and what components are required, depends on your individual circumstances. Regardless, we will make the process as easy as possible and answer all of your questions.

In some cases, we can offer “modular” planning assistance and services to clients with limited needs. Our planning modules include:

  • Stock Option / Equity Compensation Analyses
  • Investment Recommendations
  • Retirement Needs Analyses
  • Education Planning
  • Insurance Needs Analyses
  • Estate Planning

Helping you stay on track

Our financial planning process doesn’t end once your initial plan has been created. As you’ll need to modify your plan due to changes in your personal circumstances or the economy, you’ll continue to be able to access your plan through the Wealth Management System and we can monitor your plan and make recommendations as well:

  • Your goals or time horizons change
  • You experience a life-changing event such as marriage, the birth of a child, health problems, or a job loss
  • You have a specific or immediate financial planning need (e.g., drafting a will, managing a distribution from a retirement account, paying long-term care expenses)
  • Your income or expenses substantially increase or decrease
  • Your portfolio hasn’t performed as expected
  • You’re affected by changes to the economy or tax laws

Getting started

Our plans usually take between 3 and 12 months to complete and range in price from $5,000 to $15,000. Our fees will be based on the time, personnel required and complexity of your circumstances. A deposit of 25% of your fee will be required in advance, with the balance paid subsequently in three quarterly installments.

The minimum fee for a planning module is $1,500. A deposit of 50% is paid in advance and the balance collected upon completion.

Why You Should Choose a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Practitioner

Choosing a financial planner may be one of the most important decisions you make for yourself and your loved ones. Financial planners can provide you and your family with guidance over your lifetime, or work with you to address specific concerns as needed. A planner can play a central role in helping you meet your life goals and achieve financial well-being. Consequently, take the time to select a financial planner who is competent and trustworthy, one on whom you can depend for professional advice and services. Your future depends on the choices you make.

Individuals certified by CFP Board have taken the extra step to demonstrate their professionalism by voluntarily submitting to the rigorous CFP® certification process that includes demanding education, examination, experience and ethical requirements. These standards are called “the four Es,” and they are four important reasons why the financial planning practitioner you select should display the CFP® certification marks.
